Void Linux is an independent community built and open source distribution, Void is classified by themselves as a "stable rolling release" but ultimately prioritizing stability over bleeding edge.
The basis of Void like other source package first systems is to put the user in complete control of their system in every sense of the word. The disro uses alternative methods in order to expand said control like using runit as the primary init system vs the popular but having less controllables systemd.
