I think this page should be deleted because the text is copyrighted by gnome .org and not GFDL. --Diamant talk 22:16, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Are you sure about that? GNOME is a project of the Free Software Foundation, the creators of the GFDL and GPL. I doubt they'd have the documentation under a restricted license. inclusivedisjunction 07:16, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Hm, I'm not sure... But on and the notice in the footer. --Diamant talk 10:28, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Most GFDL documents are, in fact, copyrighted. The GFDL itself contains copyright notices. inclusivedisjunction 10:23, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
You've got that right! But I can't find any declaration that this part of the gnome-homepage is GFDL... --Diamant talk 16:35, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Rewrite - Copyright issues aside, the current page copied from GNOME's site reads like an advertisement and not an article. I suggest that those who use GNOME rewrite it, perhaps following an article structure similar to that of another desktop environment's article. --MarkGyver 00:21, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

That's true. Actually, several articles on the wiki are written in that sort of prose. I may have to make a template to tag NNPOV articles. Inclusivedisjunction 02:39, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
