SME Server (born from the Mitel Network Corporation's e-smith project) is a CentOS-based Linux distribution. Especially designed for the needs of small and medium businesses include file sharing and printers, corporate mail management with antivirus and antispam, web server and user authentication.

A peculiar feature of the distribution is to adopt a template internal system for creating and editing configuration files.

7.x versions are based on CentOS 4, 8.x are based on CentOS 5 and 9.x on Centos 6.

On May 26, 2010, the stable version 7.5 was released. On May 25, 2012, release 8.0 was released. On June 30, 2014, CentOS 6.5 based EMS Server 9.0 was released.
